just wondering how you dispose of your used wax strips, spautlas etc etc do you have a special bin to put your comtaminated waste. or do you just put it all in a general bin? are there any rules and regulations that anyone follows? in sure with all the germs lurching in there no dustbin man would want to touch it?
thanks alex x x

I bag up used strips etc after each client and put it in with my ordinary rubbish. I think this is Ok as I only do 2 or 3 waxing clients aweek in my home based salon. If I were to own a salon or have many waxing clients a day then the environmental health agency would require me to have it picked up seperately and incinerated by a specialist company.

i think it depends on what the regulations are for where you live

maybe you should check with your local council

i place used strips in a binliner, tie it up and take them home with me, to be disgarded in my own bin. i have not worked in many salons that actually have a separate bin for wax strips etc.

This falls under the Skin Penetration Law/Act in our shire. Shoalhaven NSW.

All related materials to be placed in double plastic bags -
Bins lined with double plastic bags also.

i got an own plastic bag with all my used waxstrips in..but as long as they dont have any blood on the strips it should be okey to put it in a plastic bag and then in the bin..Thats what we did in college too(in the UK..lol)

hi ladies!!
