Does a college makeup course give you portfolio photos?

Question is in the title.

When you did a makeup course at college, whether part or full time, did it result in getting pictures for your portfolio (by which I mean taken by a photography student, not just a camera phone or similar).

Still weighing up whether to do a city and guilds level three in fashion and photography make up this September you see. Very unsure because if I later did the full level three on a 24plus loan I'd end up paying for fashion and photography twice. Brrr! So unsure what to do!

I was a model at my college for a girl who was doing the ITEC makeup course, she got professional pictures taken for all different looks and this was included in the price of the course

Thanks was it a specialist makeup college or a further education college?

It was at a specialist college so it was a bit pricey!

If you were to do a course at a further education college you could get talking to some of the photography students and try to make a deal with them, e.g, You could do the makeup for their models for free and in return you would be getting free pictures from them. I know of people who have done things this before
