I am trying to be more consistant with my client updates and have now decided on a monthly email newsletter...I would like it to be in the body of the email so no attachements to open.

How can I make it look interesting without adding images etc..???

I am also looking at email marketing packages such as Constant Contact...any views on these? They don't seem to cost a lot but are they worth paying out for or would a simple email do the trick??

I currently only of spray tanning due to a wrist injury so my emails would only be regarding spray tanning for now...so maybe not loads of info!

Do any of you have an example you would be willing for me to take a look at to get some ideas?

xx

I use Bravenet to do my newsletters - it is free if you dont mind the odd advert.

thanks you for your reply...how often do you send out your emails? xx

Not as often as I should LOL. Only really when I have News!

Def go with Conatant contact. I cannot recommend it enough. I send monthly newsletter containing Treatment of the month, Any new treatments/products, info, beauty tips etc. Also if there's any spaces in the app book, I email last minute special offers.

Once you've got it set up, it's really easy to use. Think my package is about £15 a month and it's sooo worth it. xx

you can have a free trial with constant contact and i contact. I used my free trials with both of them and opted for i contact. It costs about £8 a month and I use it loads and loads and loads.

I use it for sending out a monthly newsletter for therapies, and one for training. I then use it to send out any special offers.

You can add your own pictures to it as the templates are a bit boring, but it gives colour, it gives contrast and really catches your eye.

No one wants to open an attachment and email is just so boring.

I'll try and find the link I have as I put them on facebook as well.

constant contact has nicer templates but was a bit more costly.

their are no contracts and you can opt out as long as you give notice.

Thanx Naturalnails! Bravenet is awsome! Design my newsletter last night, and i can't believe its free!

Since i only started now, bravenet is really great! I added my own colours, templates, wording and layout, and it really looks professional!

I do mine in Microsoft Publisher, which I also use for price-lists, leaflets, appointment cards etc etc. It's easy to use & import text etc, and you can send the newsletter as a message rather than as an attachment. If you have a website you can also place links in the body of the text for them to click on, which will take them to the relevant page on your website for more information, thus allowing you to keep the newsletter short & punchy.
