Morning All - happy saturday!

I am having laser treatment for the thread veins on my face and I am finding it jolly hard going as I have the lowest pain thresh-hold of anyone ever so I was wondering if I could use emla cream? I did ask the therapist the same question and she said no because it can cause scarring (which I'm surprised about and can't quite see why because as far as I know all it does is numb the skin in the area that it is applied) however she then went on to say something (and I can't remember what I'm afraid) that made me think that actually she didn't know what Emla cream was. Possibly she said something about it thickening the skin? I really can't remember properly (I'm too blonde!)

But, do any of you lasering skin geeks know why it would/could cause scarring? And could anyone tell me if it does thicken the skin?

I would be eternally grateful as I wanted to cry last night because it hurt so much!!!

Thanks.

Lxxxx
