What does everyone prefer?
Being employed an having set hours/days, holiday an sick pay an working to a set wage with commission and bonus?
OR
Being self employed an renting a chair or % split an working your own hours?
As a salon owner would love to hear pros and cons from both hairstylist an salon owners

I'm a beauty therapist, and have never been self employed always been employed and have to say that I love it that way I know where I am from week to week I think it swings in roundabouts sometimes I'm better off sometimes I'm worse off but I need a definite wage coming in if it wasn't for me being employed I wouldn't be able to get on the property ladder so I'm thankful x hth In both positions I've had commission on products sold and this new position I have it on treatments too every treatment I do I get 5% then if we hit target it goes to 10% on both products sold n all treatments done
