Hi I was just wondering how easy it is to encapsulate on silk/fibreglass nails.Especially the more raised bits of nailart e.g little 3d flowers or diamantes. Also at what stage would you do this and would it work better on silk or fibreglass, or does it matter?
Thanks in advance.

The silk of fibreglass wouldn't matter because anything you were going to encapsulate would be on top of that.

I think it would take many many coats to build up enough depth to encapsulate which would take much time and would cost mucho dinero!!

It is doable (eventually) but Not a way I would do it for a client anyway.

ok thanks for that.Maybe I could do a dried flower or just glitter?

That would be a little easier as they are flatter objects and hopefully you will have a thick building resin in your system or it will still, in my opinion, take you many many coats to bury the flower or gem.

I use backscratchers so they don't have a builder resin.Perphaps I should try another system which has a builder resin?

If you are going to do encapsulation then I would.

How did you get on?

Hi I haven't tried it with the Backscratchers yet.I have ordered the EZ flow system. Will keep you posted.
