I did three hours facial training at college years ago. I have always done a basic mini facial with the same range, from college. I want to branch out and offer more. I have picked a new facial range but I would like some more training. I really don't feel my cert is worth the paper its printed on, i'm pretty much learning from scratch.

I'd like some lovely skin geeks to advise me on what essentials i'll need, other than my products. Even down to how many sponges, bowls etc!
If I need a towel cabinet
If I need a steamer (i'd like this option, as i've had it done myself before and it was lush!)
Where I could get some good refresher training up north.
A recommendation for a steamer and/or towel cabinet.

I've not used hot towels, or done any training with a steamer before.

Many thanks! x x

Hiya,

3 hours worth of facial training:eek:Hmmm that's not enough really to be giving you enough confidence in your facial treatments.

I would suggest you take on a range that gives you specific facial training, who have you gone with?.I think it's so important to do extra training because they teach you so many more moves such as accupressure, shiatsu etc. These aren't usually covered in college courses.

You dont need a towel cabinet, and it doesn't matter what bowl you use.I use 2 sponges but I know some use 4.A steamer is a nice add on and could give you an extra type of treatment ie rebalancing or purifying.HTH a little

It did, thanks! Yeah my original training was about three hours (with a coffee break hmmm)

The range I have gone with is beautylab, purely because I have seen results already from using the range. They don't do any specific training though. I have done facial pressure point massage as part of hopi ear training and I love doing that, I do it in my current mini facials as a nice add on, and I really feel like I do a nice routine. Thanks again for your help. x

Well you could maybe go on an Eve Taylor course,I dont know much about what their training involves but it may give you a bit more info in the way of routine, etc and its not very expensive. You may even purchase some of their oils to use to compliment what you already do.

I dont know anything about beautylab unfortunately but it's a shame they dont do any form of training as this would be a bonus for you.Anyway glad I helped a bit and let us know what you think of the products when you get them.

Hi did you cover anatomy in the 3 hours along with contra-indications/medical conditions etc?
