So i've been mobile spray tanning since February. I am happy to have 4 or 5 clients a week ( i have a day job too so evenings works well for me). I've had mobile phone problems & felt that my business has slowed down (perhaps) as a result. I get most of my business through client recommendation and Facebook. Now i'm finding that i am being undercut by new local spray tanners to the point that i refuse to drop my price. I know my existing client base will stay with me, but i'm feeling so disheartened & wondering wether its worth buying new solution until i absolutely have to. Has anyone else had similar problems? x

It has been quiet all over, this is probably why some desperados are charging silly prices. Ride it out love, would you rather be a busy idiot or stick to your guns. You may do less treatments but will be earning the same as the cheapos out there.iykwim.
Hopefully things will start picking up, remember this time of year is not conducive to people wanting to show off a tan. We all want to be warm and cosy so the only reason for getting a tan at the moment is to go out or party time.

WHy not approach some local hotels or venues where Corporate business Christmas parties will be held. Maybe an e-mail to some of the larger employers in your area offering Corporate discounts, only valid for December as a Christmas special. Ask if you can leave some cards or leaflets at the reception areas, also pubs and places where people socialise. Ask if you can leave some cards in the "ladies" . Approach shops that rent out or sell Tuxedos and Ball Gowns some of them are more than happy to display advertising for other businesses. Try to think outside the box. Where do people go that would want a tan for the special occassion. Try to get stands at local pamper events, offer a tan as a Raffle prize for a local charity. Get your name out there and remember make sure that when you promote yourself you MUST make them aware that you are FULLY QUALIFIED, INSURED and EXPERIENCED, hence no need to drop prices. Charge what you are worth.
