I'm preparing my NVQ as Nails Technician. I'm practicing at the moments of friends.

I've difficulty filing nails, specially the short ones.

I don't know how to file them, specially when there short, but I noticed that my friends wonder why I don't file them that much. I understant their point, but how to file a short nail.

At the moment, I using emery board given by the school, but I wonder if I shouldn't use a finer file.

Could you give me any advice.

Many thanks

Welcome to the site.:)

You should not be using anything coarser than a 240 grit file on the natural nail. I use the Kanga board made by Creative which is a 240 grit and very thin and flexible. HTH
