My client currently has a full head of blonde highlights, and she wants to change it to the ombre/balayage look.

What do you find is the easiest way to put on the brown, so that it blends lovely rather than getting the block line?

I've uploaded 2 images that my client likes the look of.

Thank you!

The way I would do it is do a root paint but pull it down to slightly different levels on each section you take. In the last 15 mins of development I'd pull a few wee balayage sections with pre lightener with low vol and comb the darker root a little so it takes slightly lower and you will avoid the line xxx
Alternatively do the root stretch as I said but keep a handful of hilites seperated in foil xxx

I agree with above, can also do a colour melt, say 6/0 on the roots drag down into 7/0
