Hi all,
I am considering a career change into hairdressing at the age of 24 - I have no previous experience and want to get going as quickly as possible.
I have a degree and am able to get hold of the money for course fees if needed.
I believe the best way seems to be to get NVQ Level 2 qualified as soon as possible by taking a full-time course, then to get a job in a salon where I can start work and hopefully do my Level 3 at a later stage.
There are loads of places offering full-time Level 2 courses, ranging from 30 weeks at Sasson to 2-3 years at some educational institutions.
What does everyone think is the best place to study full-time for the Level 2?
Does somewhere like the Sasson academy offer a better quality of course than a normal college? What other colleges or academies apart from Sasson/Alan D offer an intensive way of studying for the qualification?
I don't really want to spend any longer than I have to in gaining the Level 2.
