How do you gel geeks get round this?

When I do my gels, I cap the free edge. Then, when I'm finishing off, I tidy the free edge by running along it with a 180 file, and so I file the cap away. if I dont file the free edge, they dont look quite as precise.

So, what's the solution?:confused::lol:

I try to get the shape right before the application - if I do have to tweak I make sure that the top gloss re-caps them. HTH

I see. I do get the shape right before my application, but then I find that when capping the free edge, it's not quite precise and even. I like the idea of capping with the topcoat though, that might be a good solution for me until my product application gets better (not normally a gel geek so it's not quite as good as my l&p)

I cap using every layer of my gel...this not only ensures a good cap but also allows for a little refining of the free edge with a 240. Then i cap again using the topgloss.

I do this too....just didn't explain it as well as you:lol:
