Gems and gel toenails

Just a bit of advice please, at what stage do you put gems and do you put gel over the top or clear varnish:hug:

I usually put gems on just before my finish layer of gel, or topcoat. I dont have problems with it... and I cant say I have lost any shine from the gems tho I know some people say they do ..x

Always best to lol..I always try on myself b4 trying on clients just in case ..x

I put some gems on gel toes after they were completely finished (with nail adhesive) as the client decided at the end she wanted them.........Shes had 2 weeks in Turkey and every gem is still in place....
