I'm currently a medium brown and am going to start the process of going to a strawberry blond colour at my next appointment at the end of December.

I know that the process is not going to be kind to my hair, but is there anything I can do to make the change a little less traumatic for my hair?

Your hairdresser shouldn't do anything to your hair that is going to seriously damage it, they should do it gradually. They should give you all the advice you need on keeping it in good condition. Buy yourself a really good professional shampoo and conditioner x
