Grey to blonde .. Help please ?

I have been lifting a clients black hair lighter ,( think frankie Sanford cut) With highlights since december and using 8/0 and 9 majirel at the roots to cover grey . I am not happy with the result - I feel I would like an over all lighter and less warm colour but they grey doesn't colour too well. Can I use platinium no ammonia on the roots then take it through for last few minutes ? She eventually wants to get away from highlights and just have one colour but tint just isn't cutting it on her resistant grey ! Thanks geeks

I got rid of the black first with effasor but it's mostly cut out now . The condition is fine but of that coarse grey texture ..
