Habia is dedicating its 2010 annual conference to helping hair and beauty professionals understand a major overhaul of the qualifications, funding methods and inspection frameworks, set to take place in the next few months.

The Future of Qualifications and Funding on Monday 28 June will feature key speakers including Janet Ryland, Head of the QCF and Learner Offer in the Skills Funding Agency (SFA); Phil Hatton, National Advisor for Hairdressing and Beauty, Ofsted; Kevin Street, Head of Funding Development for the Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA); and Amarjit Basi, Principal and Chief Executive, Walsall College, and Association of Colleges Hair and Beauty Champions Group.

They will cover key topics such as the Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies, Apprenticeships, the updated Ofsted inspection framework and an overview of the new Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) – including its funding model.

The Habia Conference 2010 takes place on Monday 28 June 2010 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Portman Square, London, from 10.30am to 4pm.

Tickets cost £195, plus VAT, per delegate. Habia Members receive a 10% discount.
