Hi can any tell me how long your hair has to be to have hair extensions,

I have worked on really short hair and had enough hair to cover the bonds, there is a lot of blending to do but if the client chooses a textured hair then I think you can get away with it. I do agree that the longer the hair is the better the result. Also the experience of the person fitting the hair extensions.

Hi, if you want a nice natural look though ..... I would be inclined to say try and let it grow a bit first .... just enough to allow the top of the hair to cover the extension bonds

you are only supposed to double the length of your own natural hair

also it helps if there is some natural hair within the extension hair length to support it all

but ..... if you needed them desperately as remedy for a hair disaster or something that's gone wrong .... I agree that most experienced extensionists will always try and help out as much as their training allows

also there are some extension specialists trained within a special area for extremely short hair and scalp conditions that can also use a fine mesh with extensions too ,

May I ask how long your hair is ?
and if you have any problems with your hair or scalp at the moment

Hi my hair is cut like rihanna's undercut at the sides long on top,i'm not looking for all one length hair, i like it to be trendy so i was thinking getting some extensions just in one side or maybe all over (not my undercut) and having it with very short layers quite rocky if that makes sense, also i dont have problems with my scalp.I know i will have to grow my under cut a little for it all to blend in x

Also my hair is dark, thick and in good cond..

Hi charlotted that sounds really nice and you shouldn't have any problems
I would find a picture of the hairstyle you want as it may need specialist styling and cutting afterwards ...... again pick someone with plenty of experience in both fields
Ps any chance of before and after picture ? :)

Hey Minky, thanks for that i will show pics soon as i get it done x i cant wait i love my hair being different x
