I love hair and find the facts about hair interesting.
A curling iron was invented in 1875 by a Frenchman marcel grateau
Your chance of going gray increases 10-20% every decade after 30 years old
The average life span of a hair is between 4 and 7 years

Love it, great list! Here's another one, just published a couple of months ago:

Repeatedly straightening hair at a low temperature has a permanent straightening effect. The researchers found that the process permanently changed the alignment of the protein chains in the hair, without significantly damaging the disulphide bonds so the hair keeps it's strength.
