Hi, help needed again!! I've had my lamp since July and have used it on average 3 times a week and on for approx 2 hours each time, it's now december so my lamp can't need changes yet surely(120 hours approx)...however, I've done a colour overlay tonight and when I wiped over with sanitiser some gel wiped off near the cuticle. I always use s-gel. No happened before? Any ideas? Thanks

Quick question. Is your lamp a single 9w, 11w, 18w or a 36w which has 4 x 9w bulbs?

I've always found the 36w to be much more efficient and effective. A single 9w doesn't have the oomph for me.

Despite what manufacturers say I have found most good 36w lamps will cure the same they use the same bulbs. It's just usually down to build quality and the timer that differs.

You could try cleaning your bulb or just changing it. Although you may pay a little more, try the Philips 9w bulbs as the efficiency and UV light spectra is much better than the cheapy cheapy low cost replacements.

Daylight 36w UV nail lamp rocks the kings boat with any gels I use ;)

  • Make sure fingers and thumbs are flat when curing.
  • Be sure to cure each gel layer for 2 minutes.
  • Don't apply the gel too thinly, keep your brush horizontal as you apply and try not to use too much pressure as you apply.
  • When you're removing the "sticky" layer, make sure you're using Bio's Sanitiser or Dual Cleanser.
  • Your lamp bulbs should be replaced every 6 months.
HTHs
