I am thinking of becoming a mobile nail technician and do not have a clue what I am looking for in a course. I have read the posts on here and am confused! I wondered if someone could recommend a training school/teacher in Leicester and also what I should be making sure they cover?

thanks in advance
Lara

I'm sure a company called Ellisons offer courses at their wholesalers branch in Freemans common? Check out their website, if not its at the coventry academy which is only a 30 min drive.

What are you looking for? short course or an NVQ? Have to checked out Leicester college also? x

I might be being made redundant in a couple of months and am trying to work out a change in career, so really a short course would be more beneficial for me. The problem is though I want one that is recognised, good and worth paying for and that I can add to. I know that it will take a while to become good, which is why the sooner I can start the better.

I have just had a look at Ellisons, and am going to give them a ring! If you have anymore hlep/ideas I would be very grateful, thanks x

Hi Laranadine,

if you go to hotcourses.com it lets you find all the nail courses in your area.

You just type in what you want to study (nails) where you want to study (Leicester) and it will bring up all the courses that are related to nails in Leicester. I just did a search for you and it brought up at least 20 courses that teach nails in Leicester.

Good luck!

hey there, looks like u alraedy have ur mind set? just a lil bit of advice, and i think i can speak for everyone on here and that is to go with a leading proffessional brand with good customer service.
dont waste ur pennys on rubbish courses with lower end market products (ild go for cnd, nsi or ezeflow imo)
my first course i did was in leicster and it was a joke!!! waste of a £1000 so be carefull of shoddy courses and certs. x

I agree with jayjays69, I did the same and lost so much money.I have done a course with CND and NSI you won't be disappointed with either of these company's.

Thanks to everyone for your messages! Have had a look everywhere and chose Beverley Robinson who does NSI.

I'm sure at some point I will be asking something again!!

Thanks again
