Help, I can't get work.

Hi every1

kinda in need of some advise please. have been doing nails with creative for jus over 5 years and ever since have been unable to find a job in a salon. the area i live in the south west of england is jus so hard to get any job let alone nail tech work. as no job= no money i have yet to have driving lessons to expand to other areas although i am willing to take public transport if the job is right for me. im stuck atm and don't know whether to keep searching for a nail tech job or to jus give up and hopefully get shop work at some point? thankyou

Hi, I live in Devon, where abouts do you live? It would a shame to give up if its something you love doing. I suppose its just a case of keep trying and applying! Could you not have a home based salon? Also, have you checked to see if you can rent a room from somewhere, like a hairdressers or a gym? Hth xx

Hi there

Get some business cards made up through vistaprint online and put them on peoples cars, in all the local hairdressers, go round offices, leisure centres, gyms, nurserys (mums love nice nails) door to door and go mobile, you might even get lucky and someone might offer you a room to use.

I did it and it worked!

Hiya,
I only qualified in may this yr and approached a hairdressing salon a few weeks ago that i knew didnt do any sort of beauty. I had a trial day and they offered it to me then and there. Just wish i had confidence in what i was doing lol.
Do up some price lists, and a go around approaching some salons talking to them about what u can do, show them if u can.
Im in the south west too, where abouts are u?
