Hi everyone,

I am currently trained as a beauty therapist, and looking to specialise in just nails from now on, as this has always been my main interest. Can anyone help me with my search for a job!
I have contacted all local salons and sent cvs etc, and have looked on the web at some job search sites, can anyone else recommend me anything else that will help me?
if so thanks!

Hello

I'm in the same position, so i'll be interested to see the response. i've tried mobile but i got too worried about regular money

Can't help you on specifically nails, but I had a long career in the electronics industry and my general rule of thumb was that CV's and telephone calls were generally met with a polite "thank you for your interest" letter UNLESS they really stood out. By that, I mean that there had to be something either absolutely fantastic in the content or that the call/CV should be quirky. The best employee I ever took on was a girl (then) who literally knocked on the office door and said she wanted a job, had no skills but would learn anything she was taught and would even clean the loos if necessary, but she wasn't willing to lose her fashion identity to do so - she dressed in a jaw dropping gothic style. She went on to great things - latterly earning a massive salary with my company and is now in a senior position with a multinational autoteller manufacturer, although she dresses more conventionally nowadays. Maybe, if you're confident enough you could knock on salon doors and show your abilities - make them believe that they need you, not that they are doing you a favour. Good luck.
