Hello all

I am new to the site and have returned to beauty after a nine year break. I have done a few refresher courses but I still feel a bit of a newbie and treatments are taking me an age.

I had a not so good waxing experience today and I was wondering if anyone could help? I got a call asking to do a bikini wax so I booked the client in. When she came she told me she wanted everything off. Well I am not trained in Hollywood or Brazillian as they have never appealed but I said I would take everthing off. As usual no problem with the bikin area but when it came to the fleshy bits (sorry for the decription) the wax went like chewing gum and I could not remove it. This has never happened to me before, but I have never waxed in this area before.

Can anyone help/ shed any light?

I'm sorry to hear you (and your client) had a bad experience.
Before you let yourself loose on any more customers asking for intimate waxing you really need to get some training on this. There are a couple of very good trainers on here - Kim Lawless and Andy Rouillard, both of whom are excellent educators, and more to the point are validated for insurance purposes.

Please don't be offended, but you really mustn't carry out treatments for which you've not been trained. If your client brings a claim against you your insurance company is unlikely to support you without the necessary qualifications.

I have to agree with Calla, Im having the same problems as you with bikini waxing, im almost qualified in waxing but all my friends want brazilians or all off and I have been doing this by teaching myself but getting really frustrated with it. I am doing this for my friends but wont be doing intimate waxing on clients until I have been for an intimate waxing course and got the certificate not only so I know exactly what im doing but also so I am covered on my insurance just incase anything were to go wrong
