She is stalling for time by blaming it on the banks, you need to man up and confront her head on by following it up with a phone call, if she doesn't answer leave a message confirming that if you don't get payment by x date you will be starting legal action and that you will be putting it in writing and sending out the letter that day with an invoice attached and send recorded delivery.
