Help with Colour Shack pigments

Hey Geeks
I'm having trouble with the colour shack pigments I bought..
I'm ok using them with acrylic but having the problem with hard gel and gel polish..
The nails seem to chip but only where the pigment was applied.. not the actual gel under the pigment if that makes sense.
I don't think I'm using too much pigment and if I use a really small amount in tacky layer it doesn't look right.
Can anyone give me any tips on what to do?

Hi,I use a clear pink over the pigment before I use a top coat,this stops the top coat from eating into the additive. X

Ok I must try that and see how it goes.. do you do the same for shellac also?
