Ive got a block  Help!!!

I am trying to do an advert to put in my local rag I'm wanting to get some confidence to go out and do nails.
Althought i have done L+P training i dont feel i am good enought to do a paying client so i am only going to offer manicures and polishing at the moment as i feel i can do this without having a heart attack :)
I want the advert to say this without me sounding like a total freak gosh am i in a knot this morning.
Has anyone got any advise how to word this. I have done a search and been going through the threads butg just cant find anything on wording an advert.
Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom you can give me

YOu might not like this repsonse but I think this is as waste of your money - instead get some leaflets printed and go burn some calories at the same time :green: You then chose where you post them and the areas you workin aswell - where as the paper might be going to areas you dont want to target...

There are loads of printers (digital generally the cheaper) near me that will print 2,000 leaflets for £40 which will last your weeks compared to a small 5x2 classified advert at god knows what cost and it appears once and if you missed it or binned your paper thats the exposure gone...obviously this is only my opinion but leaflet drops have worked for me and a little expense :green: hth...

What Louise says is true, but if you are going to do an ad what about:

"Mobile Specialist in Natural Nail Care. Let me visit you and transform your hands with a luxury manicure and polish. Special introductory offer available. Call now for that touch of luxury! Tel ..."

Good luck!

Wow hun were you a copy writer in a previous life???....

How do you fancy writing my next leaflet

Cheers Louise! Unfortunately, however, it doesn't seem to get the clients banging on my door (yet). Like you too, I have found it best to do leaflet drops, trudging up and down thousands of pathways. I haven't even seen any improvement on my waitsline either (help!). Hopefully, by Xmas I'll have a more substantial client base. Until then, it is keeping faith in myself, improving my technique and chin up xx

Likewise Chris - I understand where you are coming from - I am hoping that the Brisa course tomorrow will help me recruit some more clients! ;)

Louise - I am sure offering Brisa will entice more clients. I don't offer gel (yet) as I'm still trying to master l&p and fabric. Let me know how you get on xx

Fab Freak you are so right i hadn't thought about the area's the paper reaches THANKS

Things have taken a dramatic change thought the course of today. I applied for a part time job in Evans clothes shop about 3 weeks ago never having worked in a shop before but i love clothes and girly things well today i got a call would i go for an interview so off i trot and got the job its only 12 hours a week so with my regulars and this little part time job in Evans i am now all set. I get to indulge both my passions in life Nails and Clothes. Ive got a grin on my chops a mile wide.

Thanks everyone for the help :D I really am very grateful now all i need to do is manage to find time to do some more training and life would be heaven
