Hello Everybody

I am usually a lurker, but today have decided to ask for some help and advice..

I am currently studying towards my level 3 qualifications and two of my assignments are based of facial electrical treatments and body electrical treatments, one of the questions on my paper is about specialised homecare products, the features of the product, benefits and limitations.

I have been researching online, but companies generally all think that their products are the best and only give me a one sided view, I am hoping that a few of you geeks will have real salon experience and customer feedback on bodycare/skincare products that you sell as a supplement to your electrical treatments.

I hope that made sense, if I havn't made myself clear then I will try again!

Many thanks, hope you can help

Sam

Hey just though I'd say hi as your not far from me, lol & good on ya for posting, we won't bite honest!! :) Plus good luck with the course! Can't help with any info with electrical treatments sorry but I know someone on here will be able to!! :)

Hi,ok,I can tell you what homecare we would recommend in our salon to run alongside our non surgi facial treatments.Bio Ulitimate Gold.

Collagen and elastin ampules, these regenerate, rehydrate and revitalize the skin. They are great for using at home in between your maintenance treatments(which would be monthly, once course completed)

Replenish, this is a rich moisturizing complex with vit E,it promotes hydration and also contains Royal jelly to regenerate and revitalize.

Cream, again contains collagen and elastin. It's a powerful liposome based moisturizer and it helps firm the skin.

Obviously the limitations are that none of these products can perform miracles, they help maintain the treatment, the clients expectations must be talked through i.e what is realistic and what is not.

Regular use must be maintained to see the benefits.

Hth,if you need any more feel free to pm me.

ditto what babs said, any type of moisturiser that is firming is great after micro-current, for high frequency and galvanic it can depend on thier skin type as to what sort of homecare creams you could give them. High frequency is good for problem skins so something to help with spots/oilyness would be suitable. Galvanic ionotophoresis is deep cleansing and hydrating. We don't actually do galvanic as a facial on it's own but as part of another facial consisting of 4 electrotherapies (including microcurrent) so we target homecare to suit the clients own concerns whether it be anti-ageing, oilyness, dryness etc.

Body galvanic is for cellulite so a cream/gel targeting cellulite or slimming would be suitable
body faradic is toning so a firming cream/gel for the body would be suitable.

This may not have helped at all but i gave it a go!!

Thanksyou all, have finally finished my assignment this morning! Massive weight off my shoulders, ta very muchly for all your help.
