Has anyone worked in a beauty salon and also opened a home salon too ? Are they conflicting ? Can you do both ?

I am not on a contract . I am doing temping and holiday cover at the moment . It’s as and when they need me x

Are you working as a sub contractor rather than actually employed? In that case, it’s probably easier in terms of HMRC as you can bill the salon for your services and include all your earnings from self employment when completing your tax return.
Presumably once you start to get busy in your home salon, you’re going to be less available to step in at short notice? Otherwise, just crack on and focus on building your business from home. I thoroughly recommend it.

Okay that makes sense . I don’t have any set days as such. I am worried if I am advertising online that the salon might get the Hump. Thank you
