How much rent?

I am managing a hair salon and we have a nail desk to rent out. I have never done nails so I have a few questions.

First is is it ok to trade test someone you are renting a space to?

Also how much is fair to ask for? We will provide the desk and chairs they will have to provide their own products.

Rent can't be said to be £x, your location and salon needs to be taken into account, I would expect to pay more for a chair in a modern salon in a prominent location with high prices than a blue rinse and perms salon on a back street that has lower prices.
