How to hold a finger?

I posted a while back saying that i have carpole (sp) tunnel, and i'm in splints. The doc advised me to try wearing them at night only now for the next 2 weeks and see how i get on from there.

Well pain is not a strong enough word to describe it. I need some advice how to hold a clients finger without my fingers, hand and arm going in to spasims and severe cramp. I hold the clients finger in my left hand using my thumb (one side), index and middle finger (the other), but after the 4th finger the pain sets in. Anyone any tips how to hold a finger that wont cause me pain:cry:

when i first started i held the finger from the top with my thumb and index finger (i dont any more) maybe you could try this?

Make sure it doesn't block your light tho.
