Hi fellow geeks,
I would like to know if I can set up my own space to do spray tanning and nails from my council house? I have been told this is not possible, is this true?
Thanks all

I can't see why living in a council house will make any difference. The best thing to do is phone your council and ask:)

Ive been told by a few people your not supposed to run a biz from a council house, but my neighbour is ...When I enquired it had been ok ed.
As long as clients parking outside your house is not going to cause a issue to your neighbours , and you dont advertise your buisness out the front , you should be fine.Youll need to confirm with your local council though, dont just go ahead an do it .

Different councils have different rules, you would be best contacting yours and finding out for sure, hth

Correct answer, I live in a council house and the only thing they wanted to know was how many clients would be on the property at one time, because of the parking. That was it.
Talk to your council they are the only ones who can give you the facts hun:hug:

Talk to your council. Its best to find out, come clean and find out what they say and I'm sure it would be positive..:)

Thanks everyone for replying, I will phone my council on Monday to find out. Will def not go ahead without permission. I am in a salon just now renting out a room but not making any money as all of it goes into the rent so was thinking from home will be cheaper! But worried about lack of passing trade, will have to weigh up the pros and cons
Thanks again x
