Hi Geeks

I have decided to enrol on a dream weaver course for web design and start tomorow evening.

It's £75 and runs for 5 weeks. I think i'm good with design ....and would like to give it ago also a lot cheaper than some one else doing it for me.

I want to have full control so I will let you all see the finished result (god now im under pressure)

awesome! is that at your local college?

Hi sodabubble,

Yes its Park Lane in Leeds:)

wow must give my college a call to see if they do something similar, I would love to be able to do my own instead of relying on others! Please keep us updated, hope it goes well for you xx

I will, I choose the Intermediate Dreamweaver, they did have advanced but I though I better not push it (with my brain).

At least I will be able to make all changes myself and when I want to, I hate relying on other people too.

You must check you local college see what they have to offer.

No, Im lucky a friend put the whole Macromedia package on my laptop for me as it's too exspensive to buy. so Iv had a play around and im ok with the basic stuff.

Had a word with the tutor and he said Intermediate will be fine for me, going to progress to the advanced after.

If im any good (hope I am ) their maybe some basic work form at my friends business, as hes busy with his record label

I'm starting my web design course this evening at 6. I feel quiet anxious got it's been a while since iv been at college.

I'm sure it will be ok once I'm their.

Took me 2 years at college to learn dreamweaver.

Web design is like nails - not as easy as it looks. x

Tell me about it, I went this eve and oh my god. I don't know how they expect you to learn and design a website in 5 weeks even if it is a basic one.

I decided to do the foundation course to start and work my way up. Im just going to do the best I can and least if anything, I gain the experience.

Just wondered if you can buy a dreamweaver book for dummies  Because I reckon I'm going to need it.

My advice for what its worth is forget about your deadline, learn all you can during your course and study all you can. Dreamweaver is an absolutely top notch tool if you get to master it, and if you want to succeed you will do exactly that, it'll pay you back in spades. Take your time and learn everything you can while you're on the course.

Rachy is right, its not easy, but then when did anything ever worth knowing come cheap? If you really want to make a go of this, and I suggest you do, go and buy a book and bury yourself in it. I promise you that if you go back and do the next level course, you'll be so much more prepared. You may not need to but I would also recommend that you read up a little on basic HTML...for those awkward moments. lol

Dont forget, there are hundreds of tutorials available on the net as we speak, all for free!! Avail of them.

Thank you, When I came home yesterday I thought the exact same thing. I will just learn as much as I can, within that time
