Hi new to this so not sure if I am posting in the right place grrr
I hope someone can answer this question
I have a qualification in beauty therapy
level 2 IHBC. I am wondering what the equivalent Anatomy is with eg NVQ City& Guilds .
Somebody told me that the anatomy IHBC is equivalent to a level 3 is this so or where can I find this out
Thanks Karen

I was an IHBC /IIHHT student many years ago. I am not certain of your answer so I would check at your place of study or contact directly The FHT and C&G ..just ask them the question.
Level 2 beauty was The beauty Specialist diploma

You may have done the Anatomy and Physiology as a seperate module or unit. If you covered systems of the body ie ;-
Skeletal/muscular/nervous/cardiovascular/respiratory/lymphatics/endocrine/digestive/urinary. As far as I remember the systems were essential for body work treatments, massage and all holistics therapies. They were definately Level 3 diplomas in the relevant discipline.
I haven't really answered your question, but it was years ago ...... my memory is a little dusty ha ha.

Are you intending on going into a new career or expand your knowledge of the industry?

A more knowledgeable geek will hopefully give you a better answer.

Hi,
A lot will depend on how old your IHBC qualification is and the syllabus content at the time.
In what year did you gain the IHBC?
What are you planning to study next and where?

I did IHBC myself back in 1988 and having taught level 3 A&P at College (BTEC & VTCT) 2001 - 2014, I doubt the content of your level 2 will be enough to count for the current level 3 A&P.
Depending on what your next training step is, there will be a variety of options.
There is always the option to do the A&P on line with someone like The Guild but if you are going to do a college course then they will probably offer you the A&P unit as part of your course.

Hi i was thinking of taking a course in plasma and wondered if the anatomy qualification was enough

Probably best to just ask the company you will train with. Their course may well cover everything you need. Just make sure it is an accredited course and that you will be able to get insurance to practice afterwards.

That looks like a really interesting treatment. Not sure if I am brave enough!
Good luck with it , but as CFBS suggests it's best to check exactly the course and insurance afterwards.
All the best
