My insurance is up for renewal and I'm thinking I'm going to shop around. I want one company to cover public liability, employers liability, building and contents. Any suggestions? xxx

I called Salon Gold, and they gave me a quote that covered everything.

I'm also with them. you may want to check employers liability and buildings and contents x

are they not included, they told me that the policy covered all insurances, so we wouldn't have to do any anywhere else.

i have my insurance with morgan richardson. it includes everything that your looking for and they are quite reasonable give them a try. The number is 0800 731 2940.

Thanks guys. I did phone salon gold and they gave me a quote, which was less, then I looked into the policy and it didn't include ipl, which I did tell them about. They are going to phone back tomorrow with another quote.

It did slightly worry me, the fact I did tell them, but it was never in the quote. Has anyone got any feedback as to claim issues etc with salon gold? I really want to know if they will be there if I need them.

I have never had to make a claim with them. But do check everything that you are supposed to be insured for. They can email you this list. I always ask for everything in writing. They can sometimes come across like they dont know what they are doing. You are kind of left to your own devices on making sure what you are covered for. x

You should always get three quotations before you make a decision. Make sure you are getting quoted for the same thing from each of them. If you have one insurance provider that you prefer, but their quote is higher than the others, give them a call and see if they will match the lower offer. A lot of places will give you a better offer if you ask.

Try Gary Crowder at Just Hair, they're really good and will cover everything for you

is there anychance you can give a rough figure of monthly insurance costs for a salon with 3 dress outs and 3 staff. Covering for all insurance needs??!!

Hi guys, I think I going to go with salon gold. It's about £600 cheaper for more cover than it was with Professional Beauty Direct. Thanks for your suggestions.
