Hi all,

Just a question for all those who have done / doing an intensive course to become a Nail Tech. I've done a 5 day course that covers all systems and coz we put the nails ON during our week, they didn't need infilling in that same time.

We were given our Guides as to how to carry out infills but didn't actually do any. Is this normal for an intensive course or should we have kept our nails on and returned after 2 weeks to be shown how to do infills?

I'm very nervous about doing my first set of infills as I'm sure you can all imagine.

I have my assessment this Friday so hope to get some feedback from you all so I can put it to my Educator if the norm for an intensive course is to be shown how to carry out this task.

After all, it is just as important to know how to care for the nails after applied as it is to know how to apply them, right?

Oh, I've just created an album thingy and popped a few pix of the tips and gels that I have applied to myself. I have done a set of acrylics and another set of gels also, but forgot to take the snaps! Doh.

Any feedback is appreciated! Cheers

Who are you training with Tilly? This may help the experienced geeks to aid you :) xx

I would have said that it is essential that you are shown how to rebalance the nails, as this is the main work of a tech. Nails aren't normally soaked off unless there is a big colour change. It's NOT neccessary to do so every few rebalances, although some people mistakenly say it is.
