A salon I work for last year decided to let somebody do courses there like massages, facials and other things, like day courses however.

It’s not the type of place that is ideal for courses, it’s also a hairdressers so every 5 minutes you will be hearing a hairdryer going so how can anyone learning anything in that condition?!

Illegal? I don't think so... x

No, anyone can offer beauty courses, they don’t even have to be qualified to teach!
Do the courses lead to an industry recognised qualification?
If the courses are accredited by a main qualifications agency such as City & Guilds then they do have to conform to a set of minimum standards otherwise, it’s up to the participants to check what they’re getting for their money.

Her employer is a hairdresser and no they don’t have a qualifaction agency.
