Hi all, apologies to the mods if this should be elsewhere, was erring between here and Bizz section.
I used to have my own business but had a break for a few years due to building extension on house and having and raising 2 gorgeous wee girls (kept my hand in with family & friends though.)
I'm now ready to set up on my own again, but due to not currently having enough privacy to offer more intimate treatments I'm going to specialise in only nails, hands & feet. Pretty much all Creative, a bit of Jessica and Footlogix.
My previous business name was 'Beauty Therapy by 'Pinkmummy''
Now wondering whether I should rename as not currently offering further beauty treatments. I'd like to in future, but would have to have a conservatory built at home and move dining room into there, so not an option at present.
So what do you all think, rename, and if so any ideas?:confused:

hey hun

i would rename but i wouldn't limit it to nails. What i mean is my business is the nail beautique. I do only natural nails but i added beautique as i could easily add beauty treatments if i want to in the future without needing to re name. It also works well for just doing nails. So i would have a new name that could stretch across both industries.

I totally agree with this. I wouldn't limit yourself to just a nail based name if there is a possibility that you'll do beauty in the future as you'll only have to change the name again.

Good luck getting back into your business :)

Ps - happyfeet I love the name nail beautique!

Hi

I used to be called Rejuvenate Beauty. Although, I only did nails, I was planning to add beauty treatments. Being an army wife living in Germany at the time, I thought adding some treatments would benefit everyone (me mainly lol). However, another wife came to town who was a therapist, so it never took off.

After a break, moving back to UK and having my son, I decided it was time to get back into nails. And thats where I'm best suited, nails. I hate feet (I know in this business too) so my business name now is Hands Only.

I think you should keep beauty in the name somewhere too.

Good Luck with it all.

Angela :)

Thanks for your replies. I do feel it needs changing, just not sure what to.
I fancy something distinctive sounding, but still using my name at the end.
Had a chat with family today, I quite like the idea of using colour, particularly red in the name as my work area is red themed (towels, jewellery dish, seating etc), in the end of my dining room which has red flowered wallpaper (really gorgeous and bold) on that wall and red silk curtains.

A couple of ideas...
Red Velvet Nail Design by........
Scarlet Silk Nail Design by........
Scarlet Nail Design by...........
Perfectly Polished Nail Design by.....

Too cheesy?:o
I'm frustrating myself now.:irked:
Whatever I go for I can always add beauty to the name at a later date if I expand.
