Celebrity Kelly Osbourne is fronting a new campaign for St. Tropez to help raise confidence in youngsters. The announcement was made as new research came to light, which revealed nearly three quarters of 16-30 year olds lacked self-belief.

The tanning company commissioned the UK wide survey, in collaboration with the youth charity The Prince’s Trust, for which Osbourne has served as an ambassador for three years, helping young people overcome issues such as drug addiction and long-term unemployment.

The findings discovered that 60% of young people cite being unhappy with their bodies as the main reason for low self-esteem. “It really saddens me that so many young people suffer from low self esteem and feel unhappy with their appearance,” Osbourne says. “I think that at times we can be very hard on ourselves, which is certainly something I have experienced in my own life. I managed to overcome those negative thoughts by being healthy, thinking positively and making small changes to my lifestyle that make me feel good about myself, such as taking more exercise and being true to yourself.”

To help raise funds, St. Tropez will be donating £10 from every purchase on St. Tropez - Expertise. Everytime - St. Tropez of the £45 Complete Bronzing Sets (Lotion and Mousse) until 30 June 2010 to The Prince’s Trust.
