ladder of sensitivity

hiya
could someone explain what the 'ladder of sensitivity' is and how it works?
I understand the general idea but unsure as to which way to go in-terms of sensitivity. does that make any sense to anyone?

ok....the way i understand it is this

over exposure....repeated exposure of chemicals
irritation......1st sign of reaction ..signs of warning are red and itchy patches.
allergic reaction......full blown breakout...open sores, blisters and rashes...at this stage remove the enhancements

lmao.....ok Fiona i just read that link and i am totally on the wrong track....i thought it was sounding to technical for little ol me...i'll stick to answering threads about the simple things from now on....lol
i have that sunday afternoon feeling....full tummy....warm....cosy ....sleepy and in my case dosey too.
