Lash and brow tinting

When patch testing, can I use any colour tint or only the colour I intending using on the client? Thank you x

I patch test with blue as I don’t use that one as much, it’s the same brand as the other colours so shouldn’t cause a problem. My lecturer at college said this is fine as well
