Hi everyone,
I have a friend who would like a lash tint and perm.
I was taught in college that i cant do them both on the same day (ie. one after the other) but have been told by different individuals that they do it without problem?
Also if i tint today would the perm strip the lash colour on monday (i was told it would but just checking as friend is going away and she wanted both things done before she goes tuesday but i only have time this morning and monday to do anything so she's a little dissapointed. She has to have her patch test today if she's having a perm monday).
Thanks in advance for help

Perm then tint and you'll be fine. If you do it the other way round then the perm can strip the tint. I know some therapists who will actually tint while the rollers are still on. I find that far too fiddly though! Remember skin tests for the tint, waving cream, neutraliser and glue.

Thanks very much for your reply, all patch testing done!

Excellent! They're fab treatments - hope your friend likes the result - I'm sure she will.

When i do a perm and tint, i tint while the roller is till on the eyelid, i find it so much easier, and saves so much time. Its so popular this way i even have to include a pricing for a perm and tint on my price lists!

when iam teaching this procedure we teach it following awarding bodies rules which teachs not to do the two together but once out in industry you can do them together, its just under assessment conditions that they teach you not to.

hth:hug:

I just find it fiddly that's all! Also I think I'm a bit anal - like to do one thing then the other.

Oh and also dont forget, if you perm and then tint straight after, you will have to change the eye shields and rearrange them, as you will want to tint the lower lashes too! lol.

thanks for the replies, i may well have a go at doing the 2 together then and save some time. Its only for a friend for free as i need practice and she wants it done so considering how much she's saving i dont suppose she'll mind me trying it a different way (as long as the end result is good anyway!). I was worried if i did them on the same day something awful might happen and her lashes fall out or something .
