Does anyone do this as an add on in their facials. I'm thinking of getting the Carlton 'chromasolo' to add an extra touch to my facials but don't really know much about the results achieved. Any thoughts good or bad very much appreciated. Thanks!

Just bumping! Has anyone any experience in this, please?! X

As no one else has added I will give my two pennies worth! I read an article about red and blue light being proven in a medical setting to improve acne. I would only be concerned to make sure the machine you buy is at the correct setting and strength to mimic these studies. Make sure to ask for independent studies to back up their machines. It seems from my research that the treatment would need to to be daily for 3 months to work and this is a big commitment from clients but maybe there are more powerful choices but would think it is to do with wavelength of light but not sure.

hi. i researched this intensivly a few months back and got totally excited. infa red LED therapy has been proven in clinical trials to do amazing things. its even been tested my nassa in space where they found that plants grown under red led grew at amazing rates. In humans the red light stimulates collagen to be produced in the upper levels of the skin reducing wrinkles and deeper down can repair damaged mussles and joints. it even improves heart attack patients by helping there damaged hearts to heal. How amazing is that. I was thinking of getting a collagen bed for my salon but i can only get one that will only work on the upper levels of the skin as the price is way out of my league for the double effect bed. i decided against it for now as my clients will have to come in 3 times per week for 20 mins each time and because it is so new no one has heard much about it yet, i decided to wait until its getting more media attention. Iv looked at the infa red for facials as this is a smaller unit and affordable but im just not sure id get the return on it just yet so thats on hold for now too. bare in mind i live in a town where most people dont take care of themselves , if i was in a more upmarket town id get one now.

i forgot to say. the blue LED kills bacteria. its used to clean water at treatment plants and the air in aircon units.. another bit of amazing info for you.. makes sence that it also kills the bacteria in skin which causes acne..who would of thought that simple light could do such amazing things !

What a great artical,Thanks for posting.

I am really interested in light therapy and did a search and found this forum.

There isn't as much information as i'd like but I have only just started to research it.
If any body is using this in their salon i would also love to hear more about it
