Licence for Mobile Techs

I have just seen on www.Professionalbeauty.co.uk an article about two techs getting fined for offering services at their salons that were not licensed. It goes on to say that premises that offer special services such as manicures and pedicures must be licensed. How does this affect techs that work from home or are mobile? Does anyone know?

Regulations vary from Borough to Borough. When I was in Essex, Havering Council demanded that you had a licence if you were salon or home based. However, if you were mobile, you didn't need a licence.

Check with your local council.
