Hi All
I have searched the forums on lifting and zones but was wondering if anyone could help with the following questions?

When doing a new set or infill/rebalance do you have to make sure you never get acrylic on the skin/cuticle all the way around the nail? So basically the acrylic is never bonded to the skin so as the nail grows it doesnt lift because it is not joined to the skin?

Zones are mentioned a lot on here and being new and awaiting info on a CND foundation course I haven't got a clue! Please can someone tell me where zones 1,2 and 3 are on the nail? If there is a tutorial or a diagram or something that would be great!

Thanks for your time and sorry for the amateur questions!

You're quite right, soft tissue contact will cause lifting so keep away from the skin :wink2:

Zone 1 is the free edge (where the nail leaves the finger), zone 2 is the middle part of the nail and zone 3 is the eponychium (sometimes known as the cuticle area).

Don't panic though, all will be shown to you on your Foundation Course.
