Hello
I am puzzled cos have practiced quite alot with Minx but my last 2 sets have lifted on the free edge, 1 set only a little bit but enough to be annoying. the second set just peeled off when the lady had a shower!!!! I preped the nail with my usual cnd products, applied the Minx under Minx heat, cooled them before filing excess ,re heated to perform 3 point check , had no creases. So I am baffled. Any ideas or tips before I become a laughing stock!!!! eeek:eek:

did you do the prep hun,i always make sure i do a mini manicure first to make sure the (skin )on the nail plat is taken off, and did you cap the nail after you did the minx at the free edge hun.hthx

When you are applying your minx, are you stretching it hun? I found if it was stretched too much in application then when the minx cools and shrink wraps itself to the nail then although at the time it looks fine, by the next day it can start to curl on a few nails.

The other thing to watch is how you are filing the cooled minx at the free edge. It is best to file in a north/south direction with your minx file, and not to do it directly on the free edge just under at a slight angle, therefore this means your minx shouldn't budge and you wont get that lifting.

hth :)

Hello thanks so much for replying. What do you mean by capping the nail??? I don't know what that is???

I did prep but am wondering if my citri soak and water solution is too soapy and/ or I didn't scrub fresh enough or they were not dry enough????
I have heated it too much in the past and stretched it but not this time but was gonna ask about heatig it too much as well
Actually filing north to south is a good tip cos in the vid it shows left to right at an angle so I will try that Thanks for your advice I will grab my neighbour and practice before next client!!!!
