I qualified as a nurse back in 1984 and have no idea now where my nursing certificate is. Does anyone know if or how I can buy a replacement?

I have just emailed RCN too so they may be able to help me once they get my mail.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Jen

I used to work in nursing years ago! You have just answered your own question - I am pretty sure you can buy a replacement one from RCN. Are you still in date?

Not sure what you mean by still in date? I haven't been a practising nurse for 20 years so I guess I am not in date lol!!

girls shouldnt you be contacting the ukcc?
http://www.ukcc.org.uk/
rcn is a professional body (like a union)but the ukcc is responsible for registration

Another place to try would be the ENB.

hey - well i was wrong - we're all wrong!!(and i've only been out of the nhs for 2 years!!)
it's the NMC that governs all nurses/midwives/health visitors and has done since it merged the UKCC and the ENB in 2002:!:
Nursing & Midwifery Council

It seems they won't/can't helm me unless I register with them.. which is £76. I don't want to start practising nursing again.. just get copy certificate for my pleasure.
