Lately I've had a really dry flaky scalp and I've put it down to stress. I switched from macadamia to mythic oil shampoo and conditioner and over the last few weeks have noticed a big Improvement in the flakiness. Today I used the macadamia again and it's like my hair is coated at the roots!! It's supposed to be sulfate free so I never imagined it was causing the problem.

Has anyone else had this experience with it?

Hi, not sure on the ingredients on those products but check if they contain
Silicon and Sodium lauraleth Sulfate
Silicone will coat the hair making it look lovely and shiny while stripping every bit of moisture from the hair and scalp and the other is a foaming agent found in cheap OTC products
BUT
Sodium lauryrl Sulfate is ok and is found in coconuts
