Any MUAs out there think Bridal Fayres are worth doing?

I have been quoted #150.00 plus VAT for a 5 hour stint at one and I have heard they don't have a lot of interest.

Don't want to waste my money if get nothing from them.

Any good or bad experiences to share?

Thanks

Hi. I am a MUP and I do two Bridal Fayres per season. I have linked up with a local mobile hair stylist and we share a table and so share the cost. £150 plus vat seems high, especially if it isn't busy. The most we have paid is £100 including vat and that is split between us.
Questions to ask the organiser;
Do all visitors to the Bridal Fayre register their details to get a data base?
Do you get a copy of that data base of visitors after the show?
How many visitors did they get previously?
How much will the Fayre be advertised?
Can you be the exclusive MUP there?

For me the Fayres work because you get direct contact with the brides, and I only need one booking per show to cover the cost and make a profit.
Good luck x

Thank you for that good advice, I do hair as well but might try and join up with a photographer I know if they will let me.

Great advice
