Make up starter kits

Hi, I'm doing a make up course end of February & I was wanting I start building a kit!
Where shall I start??
Brand discounts etc I know I won't be able to get pro discounts straight away but for future reference would be great.
Any help would be lovely!

Presumably you'll be provided with a starter kit for your course?
I'd wait until your course and see what you get to start with and what they recommend adding to it.

Not much point buying lots of stuff until you know what you're doing.
