for french polish i sometimes use acrylic nail art paints on myself, its easier to remove and reattempt if you mess up too!:)

How about trying to exchange a treatment with somebody local to you? If you look at the groups there is one for swapping treatments. That way you get to relax and enjoy what you normally do for everybody else. I also find the 2 way nail art pens handy for doing french Manicures on myself.

I always do my own nails, and on every pict that I show up on here, it's my hands, made by me. left hand, right hand... it's all a matter of practice for me. and a necessity, as I know no one around me who can do Xtreme nails like what I usually wear.

pedi... just 2 layers of Lincoln Park After Dark and a few 3D every now or then...

I'm hopeless at doing my own. I can't do my opposite hand properly and I can never paint my toenails well on myself. I think it's the angle that you have to do it from.

i've bought stuff off ebay for nail art before and it wasn't worth the hassle, the polishes were either watery or turned gloopy.
you could try ordering nail art pens and other stuff online, professional nail stuff is alot better and worth paying extra for in the long run.
